The mission of OZZ "Leska" nursery is to create the highest quality varieties of hazelnuts, walnuts and other selected fruits, combining science and tradition through a unique planting technology, and to provide its clients and partners with a fruitful future - both in terms of plantations and business development.

On the other hand, our vision was created by our founder Janko Janković, MSc Engineer of Agriculture, together with his professors back in 1993. By developing science and technology, and gathering the most colorful experts in one large OZZ "Leska" family we develop top quality products - seedlings, clones and fruits of the noble hazelnut and walnut, and thus we offer the world a unique quality that guarantees success and progress.

In Dobrić near Šabac, MSc Engineer of Agriculture Janko Jankovic, PhD Professors Milovan Korać and Slobodan Cerović, prominent experts who were the first in the world to graft hazel on Corylus colurna (1970) - a substrate for hazel that does not form root shoots, began producing unique varieties of grafted hazel in "Leska" nursery which now covers the area of 20ha.

Our product assortment includes 20 varieties and clones of hazelnuts and 11 varieties of walnuts.

Based on the proven quality of production, our nursery received the exclusive right to multiply the latest variety of hazelnut Tonda Francescana, which is a variety of the Italian institute Università degli Studi di Perugia. In addition to this unusually phenomenal variety, clones of the hazelnut varieties Tonda di Giffoni, Tonda Gentile delle Langhe and Tonda Gentile Romana have been added.

We are proud of more than 2.000 ha of hazelnut plantations in Serbia, Italy, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro, but also of the cooperation with large world producers and processors of hazelnuts, scientific and educational institutions as well as small family plantations which achieve top results with our seedlings.

Quality seedlings and properly selected varieties of hazelnuts are a basic prerequisite for long-lasting orchards of high yield. The following hazelnut varieties are grafted in the nursery of OZZ "Leska", and in the process of grafting the characteristics of the desired noble variety are faithfully transferred to a new fruit - graft, which gives better and high quality seedlings that do not give shoots later in fruiting:
